A London, Kentucky couple credits WKYT meteorologists Chris Bailey and Jim Caldwell for saving their lives during a recent tornado.

The Lexington CBS affiliate said the two followed the advice given by the station’s meteorologists on May 16, the night of the Pulaski and Laurel County tornado.

“Please, please tell him we love him from the bottom of the heart. Thank Chris and Jim Caldwell personally,” said the homeowner. “They saved our life. Them two on TV saved our life.”

James and Kristy Sexton from the Sunshine Hill neighborhood in London were watching WKYT’s weather coverage and took action right when our meteorologists, Chris Bailey and Jim Caldwell, told viewers in the area to take cover.

The Sextons didn’t hesitate. They headed right to the basement. Moments later, the tornado was at their doorstep.
