Top of the Ticker: Nearly three months after her unexpected exit from MSNBC, Joy Reid is stepping into the creator-based media world courtesy of a video podcast. The Joy Reid Show will air three times a week, available on YouTube and via major podcast distributors. According to Variety’s Brian Steinberg, the show will offer Reid’s “unfiltered” view of the world and cover the major subjects of the day. Guests on her debut episode include comedian Amber Ruffin and former South African ambassador to the U.S., Ebrahim Rasool.
Meanwhile, MSNBC is also expanding its podcast offerings with the launch of The Best People, hosted by Deadline: White House anchor Nicole Wallace. Debuting on June 2, Wallace’s podcast will feature interviews with a variety of guests.

New set-up: The Source with Kaitlan Collins has a new space within CNN’s Washington, D.C., bureau. Starting this past Tuesday, the show has been anchored out of the newsroom and features refreshed graphics—a move intended to remind viewers of Collin’s unique dual role at the network as both a primetime anchor and the network’s chief White House correspondent.

Eye on streaming: CBS News 24/7 launched its latest program on Tuesday night, CBS News 24/7 Primetime. Hosted by CBS News Bay Area’s Elizabeth Cook, the 90-minute newscast streams at 7 p.m. ET and offers fast-paced news produced entirely in augmented and virtual reality.
Scholarship news: Fox News continues to keep the memory of Dr. Charles Krauthammer alive by naming the latest recipients of the scholarship program named in his honor. Ella Farahnakian and Megan Terralavoro were selected as the recipients of the sixth annual Dr. Charles Krauthammer Memorial Scholarship—in partnership with the National Merit Scholarship Program—which is made available to children of network employees.
Northern excursion: Today’s third hour will be heading to Alaska as part of a special broadcast celebrating the summer solstice and exploring all that the state has to offer. Sponsored by Visit Anchorage, the special broadcast will tape on June 19 and air on June 20 at 9 a.m. ET.
Everest summit: Fox News senior correspondent Mike Tobin recently summited Mount Everest, planting a network flag at the top. Speaking on America’s Newsroom on Friday, Tobin said that he pursued the climb as a way to spotlight the growing suicide rates among veterans and first responders.
In Memoriam: The TVNewser/ADWEEK family joins the NBC News family in mourning the passing of Uche Ojeh, husband of Today co-host Sheinelle Jones, who succumbed to brain cancer at age 45. Ojeh was described on-air as “an incredible person” by Jones’ colleague, Savannah Guthrie.
