Top of the Ticker: The Alliance for Women in Media celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Gracie Awards this past week. The three broadcast networks—ABC News, CBS News, and NBC News— received the most honors, with five awards each. CNN had four awards, Al Jazeera had three, and MSNBC had two, with one of those co-shared with NBC News Studios. Univision also received two Gracies, while Scripps News, Telemundo, and Bloomberg received one apiece.
The Gracies celebrate women’s voices, stories, and achievements in media. A golden anniversary gala honoring these women journalists will be held in Los Angeles on May 20.
In other awards news, CNN’s Amanda Davies was recognized by the SJA British Sports Journalism Awards as Broadcast Journalist of the Year for 2024.

New Lineups: CNBC International and CNN International recently unveiled new programming lineups. CNBC’s pan-regional programming slate is geared towards viewers across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. The new weekday regional lineup launching in the next few months includes:
Asia/Middle East
U.S. Markets Edition — 6 a.m. Hong Kong time/ 10 p.m. UTC
Squawk Box Asia — 7:00 – 10:00 a.m. HK/11 p.m. UTC
The China Connection — 10:00 a.m. HK/12 a.m. UTC
Inside India — 11:00 a.m. HK/ 1 a.m. UTC
Access Middle East — 12:00 a.m. HK/2 a.m. UTC.
Europe
Europe Early Edition — 7:00 a.m CET/6 a.m. UTC
Squawk Box Europe — 8:00 a.m. CET/7 a.m. UTC
Squawk Box Europe will then hand over to US business day programming, beginning with Worldwide Exchange at 7 a.m. ET/12 p.m. CET/11 UTC.

Over at CNN International, the network launched a new weekday schedule earlier this month, coinciding with the start of CNN new U.S. lineup on Monday, March 31. (All times Eastern)
The schedule changes include simulcasting Early Start with Rahel Solomon at 5 a.m. and CNN This Morning with Audie Cornish at 6 a.m. One World with Zain Asher and Bianna Golodryga expanded to two hours beginning at 11 a.m. CNN Newsroom with Max Foster now airs at 3 p.m., and CNN Newsroom with Jim Scuitto moved to 6 p.m.
Climate Watch: Noticias Telemundo Ahora will debut Ahora: Planeta Tierra, a new weekly program focused on environmental and climate news in the U.S. and the Americas hosted by Vanessa Hauc. Airing on Saturdays at 11 a.m. ET, it will be the only environmental news program streaming for Spanish-speaking audiences.

New Role: BBC News has promoted Gary O’Donoghue to chief North America correspondent. He was previously the network’s senior North America correspondent. Earlier this month, O’Donoghue and his crew were awarded the Royal Television Society Breaking News Award for their coverage of President Donald Trump’s assassination attempt in July 2024.
