The Country Music Awards returns to Prime Video next year.
The streaming platform, which is updating its interface, announced a partnership with the Academy of Country Music and MRC, stating the 2023 awards ceremony will livestream globally from Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, TX, on May 11 on Prime Video, Amazon Music, Amazon Fashion, Freevee, Amazon Live and more. It will be the first awards show to take place at Ford Center.
The 58th Country Music Awards will offer viewers an interactive, 360 experience, which includes a shoppable version of Prime Video’s carpet preshow, Amazon’s red carpet livestream on TikTok, an ACM Awards storefront and the opportunity to support Lifting Lives, ACM’s charity organization dedicated to harnessing the power of the music community.
“The Academy is proud to extend our relationship with Amazon to once again deliver the ACM Awards live to a global audience on Prime Video,” said Academy of Country Music CEO Damon Whiteside in a statement. “The March 2022 show was a defining moment for the ACM and a huge step forward for country music, allowing audiences around the world to see their favorite artists perform live and be recognized for their excellence. We can’t wait to take the show to a new level for fans with an exciting new venue and integrated partnership with the Dallas Cowboys.”
The 2022 ceremony, the first major awards show to stream live exclusively for a global audience, was hosted by Dolly Parton with Jimmie Allen and Gabby Barrett and streamed live on Prime Video from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
